Business Continuity Planning

Build a Plan

A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) ensures that your firm’s personnel and assets are protected and remain functional in an emergency or disaster situation.

Drawbridge Partners will work with you to recognize the threats and risks facing your firm in order to build a BCP.

The BCP will detail how your firm should react in the event of a site loss, significant business disruption due to fire or weather conditions, or any other condition causing the business to cease operation under normal or “business as usual” circumstances.

A BCP involves the following:

Organizational threat analysis;

A list of business units within the firm and their primary functions to maintain “business as usual” functionality;

Recovery time objectives for business units and firm systems;

Recovery point objectives for systems;

Crisis communication planning;

Alternate work strategies and alternate work locations;

Emergency evacuation procedures;

Information on data backups and site backups; and

Business impact assessment

The Next Step

When working to develop a BCP, all threats to the organization that could cause a disruption to normal business operations should be considered and evaluated. The next step is to determine the most significant tasks required to continue operations and return the firm to its normal operations.

The creation of a BCP is essential to all firms.
